Maura has made it a priority to increase housing production and bring down costs for families. She filed and signed the historic $5 billion Affordable Homes Act to counter rising housing costs caused by high demand and limited supply. She cut permitting time from years to 30 days, created a first in the nation Momentum Fund to help fund the creation of housing, banned brokers fees to reduce costs for renters, and unleashed hundreds of acres of state-owned land out to bid for reasonably priced housing.
