Governor Maura Healey makes key hires in her reelection campaign

Boston, MA — Governor Healey announced a number of new staff hires today, building an experienced leadership team with state and national campaign bonafides heading into caucus season.

Emma Chinman will join the team as Organizing Director. A Massachusetts native, Emma has spent the last six years as an organizer, campaign manager, and coalitions manager for organizations and campaigns across Massachusetts and greater New England.

Niko Emack joins Healey’s team as Political Director. Niko has a background in civic engagement, political campaigns, and local government. He also has worked in academia, in media, and as a youth sports coach.

Kerry Patrick Lyons will serve as Press Secretary. Kerry most recently served in communications roles on campaigns in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including for the Biden-Harris campaign.

Alexis Algazy will be serving as the Press & Digital Associate, supporting communications and digital efforts throughout the campaign. Alexis most recently served as Communications Director for a Boston City Council campaign and as a Press Assistant in the Office of Attorney General Andrea Campbell.

These staffers join existing team members, including Campaign Manager Katie Prisco-Buxbaum, Finance Director Megan Gillis, Digital Director Emma Stein, and Finance Assistant Domenic De Santes.

“We are so thrilled to welcome this talented roster to our team,” said Healey Campaign Manager, Katie Prisco-Buxbaum. “The momentum we’ve seen since our launch has been incredible, and we are looking forward to continuing that enthusiasm over the coming months as we reelect Maura and Kim this November.”

These hires are the latest demonstration of the campaign ramping up, after a strong launch announcement and January fundraising month, with the Healey-Driscoll committees bringing in more than $500,000 combined this month.
