Boston, MA — Today, the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund officially announced their endorsement of Governor Healey and Lieutenant Governor Driscoll for reelection. ELM Action Fund, which works to secure the health and well-being of the environment through policy advocacy, endorsed the ticket in recognition of the administration’s commitment to protecting the environment, public health, and the natural resources of Massachusetts.
In her first term, Governor Healey protected the environment while lowering energy costs. She appointed the first Cabinet-level Climate Chief, established the Office of Environmental Justice, and filed the Mass Ready Act to support communities and local infrastructure hardest-hit by climate change. The Healey-Driscoll Administration also awarded millions in grants for climate resilience and energy efficiency projects throughout the state. On the federal level, Governor Healey is fighting back against Donald Trump’s attempts to shut down clean energy projects, including the Vineyard Wind project, which powers nearly 300,000 homes and businesses in the region, increasing our energy supply and driving down costs for residents.
