Register to Vote

The last day to register to vote before the Primary is Saturday, August 27. Register, update your address, or verify that you are registered here.

Vote by Mail

Vote by Mail applications will be mailed to every voter. If you misplaced or did not receive your application, you can find it here.

When you fill out the application, make sure you are requesting a mail-in ballot for both the primary and the general election, and that you are requesting a Democratic ballot for the primary. Return this application to your local city or town hall by mail, email, or fax by no later than Monday, August 29, 2022 at 5PM, but you should return it as soon as possible to ensure there are no delays. Ideally, you should apply 2 to 3 weeks before Election Day.

Once you receive your ballot in the mail, fill it out and return it using one of the following methods:

  • Mail it back in the envelope provided – the postage is prepaid
  • Hand deliver it to your local election office or drop boxes
  • Drop it off at an early voting location during early voting hours (this information will be available on your city or town’s website soon)

Reminder: Ballots cannot be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day, but you can vote in person if you have not returned your ballot by then.

Your ballot must be received by your local election office by 8PM on Election Day in order to be counted, so be sure to submit it as soon as possible.

Vote Early

You can vote early between Saturday, August 27, 2022 and Friday, September 2, 2022 at your local election office. Some cities and towns will have additional locations for early voting, which will be available on their websites.

Vote in Person on Primary Day, Tuesday, September 6.
