Boston, MA – Yesterday, Morning Consult released its latest round of polling and ranked Governor Maura Healey as the fifth most popular governor in the county, and the most popular woman governor. The survey of registered voters in all 50 states saw her rise from 10th in the last poll in October to 5th in this one.
“This latest polling is a reflection of the Healey-Driscoll administration’s focus on improving the lives of all Massachusetts families, lowering costs, and standing up to the damage the Trump administration is doing to our communities,” said Healey Campaign Manager, Katie Prisco-Buxbaum. “When the Governor is reelected this November, she’ll build on that progress and keep moving Massachusetts forward.”
In her first term, Governor Healey has:
- Eliminated renter’s fees and put 100,000 new homes in the pipeline to lower the cost of housing.
- Capped health care deductibles and co-pays, the first Massachusetts Governor to do so.
- Opposed utility rate increases and proposed her Energy Affordability Agenda to remove unfair charges from energy bills and save ratepayers $13 billion.
- Cut taxes for the first time in more than 20 years, providing needed savings for families, seniors, and small businesses.
- Protected SNAP from Trump’s federal cuts, to feed kids and families.
- Improved MBTA service, saving commuters time, and fixed roads and bridges in every corner of the state, with more bridges slated for repairs and improvements under the revived Accelerated Bridge Program.
- Doubled funding for Massachusetts schools, made school meals free, and made community college cost-free for everyone. Now, Massachusetts schools are ranked the best in the nation.
