Governor Healey has agreed to participate in two statewide televised debates hosted by WBZ and the Media Consortium; Lt. Governor Driscoll commits to GBH Radio Debate
Boston, MA – Now that the primary election is over, the Healey-Driscoll campaign is calling on their Republican opponents to accept these debate invitations to provide voters with a clear picture of the choice in this race.
Governor Healey has committed to two live, televised debates in the general election to educate voters across the state about the choice in this election. The first debate will be aired live on WBZ-TV on October 8th, hosted by veteran political commentator and debate host Jon Keller, on tape-delay with WBZ Radio and the Western Mass News TV Consortium. The second October debate will be hosted by a media consortium consisting of WCVB, WBUR, and the Boston Globe in partnership with the Bay State Banner and El Planeta.
Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll has committed to a debate with her eventual Republican opponent on GBH radio hosted by Jim Braude and Margery Eagan.
“This fall, voters deserve to see the clear choice in this election on the debate stage,” said Healey-Driscoll Campaign Manager Katie Prisco-Buxbaum. “While Governor Healey works every day to lower costs and stand up to Donald Trump, Mike Minogue is dodging debates and questions about his extreme views and his support for Donald Trump’s pro-tariff, pro-ICE, and anti-choice agenda.”
